To me, the Lojban /./ whose realization can be either a glottal stop
or silence is lunatic.

I would recommend allowing words to begin with a vowel in Ceqli, and
allowing the optional insertion of glottal stop in this position, as
in English and German. The glottal stop could be unwritten; no amibuity
would result, if words are separated by spaces.

This unwritten consonant would be analogous to Ceqli's unwritten schwa
phoneme.
