Here they are, with an example of what they would mean if used in the sentence "mi ca ____ tavla" (which, without an aspect, is "I talk" in the present tense), and also the diagrams of the event that the vocabulary list uses. event ba'o: perfective (I have talked) | |---- ca'o: continuative (I am talking) |-----| pu'o: anticipative (I'm going to talk) ----| | co'a: initiative (I'm starting to talk) >|< | mo'u: completive (I have finished talking) | >|< co'u: cessative (I've stopped talking (without necessarily finishing successfully)) | >< | za'o: superfective (I'm talking for too long) | ----> co'i: achievative (Just now I talk) >|< de'a: pausative (I pause in talking) di'a: resumptitive (I resume talking) I don't know if all of these are necessary. What we've been talking about here are the ones that are used most in Lojban as well: ba'o, ca'o, pu'o. -- Rob Speer
