Maybe it "should" be obvious, but it isn't to me.  If it had been, I
probably wouldn't have asked the question in the first place.  (Just
to be clear, I find the above response to be a bit discourteous.)



I probably shouldn't have answered at all.  Yours are the same kinds of questions I have asked (or wanted to ask) ram myself.  While I've followed ram's language closely since it was Katanda, I'm no expert in the nuances of some of its features.
For the perceived discourtesy, I apologize.
