L17 sentence

Would the following sentence from lesson 17 mean the same thing if the second "dezoge" were omitted, letting the conjunction join the two nouns "ketisi" and "twetisi" instead of the two case tags "dezoge"?

   Do as many mosquitos live on the island as on the
     peninsula?
   Tamenu dasu kwicala lubokagi canjopay dezoge ketisi
     zuntesye dezoge twetisi?

I.e.,
   Tamenu dasu kwicala lubokagi canjopay dezoge ketisi
     zuntesye twetisi?
