My book is ???ing an investigation of the lawyer.

The translator doesn't know what "tedapanga" means.

As an exercise, try the above without using "ximyu".

Replacing "ximyu" with the open form of "kakicalenvi" I get:
Dasu tedapanga fimi bamo kakicalenvaw tomo janbegi.

Since the translator doesn't know what "tedapanga" means, here is a different form, closer to dictionary "tedapemaw":
Dasu tedapema fimi bamo kakicalenvaw tomo janbegi.

Changing the order to something closer to my original intent:
Dasu tedapema kakicalenvaw tomo janbegi fimi bamo.

Using the present-habitual:
Xadasu tedapema kakicalenvaw tomo janbegi fimi bamo.

And using the tenseless-habitual:
Dasu tedapema kakicalenvaw tomo janbegi fimi bamo.
