The theory and method of the monograph

I remember reading as far as 23.0. I would download a version, print
it out and read it on my 1.5 hour subway ride to work, making my
notes in the margins. I've done this twice.

The newest version look... neater, based on the table of contents.

There are good linguistics books, but of course none of them targets
conlanging as a goal.

There are nice websites and some interesting conlangs, but they are
often exploring ideas and comparing notes with a lack of focus. The
culture is a bit like people on research grants. The exploration
itself is the goal, not the finished functional language.

The monograph is focused on producing a finished thing, the
interlingua. It wrestles concrete linguistic problems with solutions
that are found in natural languages, and it strives to be easily
parsed by a machine translator.

The lessons are for learning the conlang, which won't do much for me.

The theory and method of the monograph are brilliant and now there's
a forum to compare notes on it.

I am.. jazzed.
