The sentence
At
least he remembered to bring the hot dogs. (minimal)
doesn't seem to treat acceptability only. It's
like "acceptability-hedging". "It is acceptable that ... even though there is
little/small/much reason to think otherwise."
So, things are getting more complicated: "It's a
little positive surprise that he remembered to bring the hot dogs."
So, I think we must combine hedging with
acceptance.
Gyotay vyutwe gegaytay he remembered to bring the
hot dogs.
At least he remembered to bring the hot
dogs.
