Ae! Today I happened on some ASCII-art Gothic letters on the net and tried to make some Tengwar in a similar style. Instead it turned out something which looks very much like Hebrew square script. The Lambe looks like a strange cross between Hebrew Teth and Arabic Qhaa! ASCII art must be viewed in a fixed width font, like Courier. In the Yahoo interface click the link to the right which says "Show Message Option" then "Use Variable Width Font" which appears below. <pre> : _ : Benct Philip Jonsson "Melroch Aestan" 10.5.2007 ( ) : __ ___ __ _______ _______ __ ___ _ __ _ | | : (_ \(___\(__\(__ _ )(_ _____)(_ \(__ )( ) ( _)( ) | | : ) ( )) )) )/ ) | )) ____ \ \ ))// | | // | | : | (__//__// // | | // (____\ \ \//((___) |((___) | : (__________)(_) (_)((________)) ) (__\_____) \_____) : \________/ (_____) </pre> Is there anyone else who does Tengwar ASCII art, BTW? It would be fun to see what other have done! I usually don't do entire 'alphabets', but only single words, most often "Melroch" like here. /BP -- /Melroch ---------- _ Benct Philip Jonsson "Melroch Aestan" 10.5.2007 ( ) __ ___ __ _______ _______ __ ___ _ __ _ | | (_ \(___\(__\(__ _ )(_ _____)(_ \(__ )( ) ( _)( ) | | ) ( )) )) )/ ) | )) ____ \ \ ))// | | // | | | (__//__// // | | // (____\ \ \//((___) |((___) | (__________)(_) (_)((________)) ) (__\_____) \_____) \________/ (_____) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
