Well, the idea of the language was growing inside me for a couple of years. But if it was written with Hebrew or Arabic letters, it would stand too close to them. I tried Ethiopic syllabary, but was not satisfied because it makes a merge I disliked (Proto-Semitic short vowels a > E and i, u > @, and @ and no vowel are marked with the same row of symbols), so I stroke out Ethiopic too. Then I was too bored with written translations (I'm a professional translator), had some time at night and decided to try to create my own script. I used box-drawing elements from the Unicode range to compose the characters. *That* is the feature of the script.
