Hello!
My real name is Lex, although I am probably better known as Aelfwine on the CBB and ZBB. I am a conlanger in his mid 20s, though I have been conlanging for a couple years now i still very much feel like a "noob," at least compared to people here who have been working at it for 10-20 years! I hope by introducing myself here I'll help rejuvenate this community as well.
Pelsodian (I'm still uncertain on the name, but this name seems to have stuck the longest) is the name of a collection of romance dialects around what is in our timeline called Lake Balaton in modern day Hungary. The name is derived from Lacus Pelsodis, the Roman name for Lake Balaton. It is the language of Keszthely culture, which in my timeline managed to survive to this very day.
The language is still in its infancy, despite my "working" on it on and off for the past several months. I've collected a vast amount of resources on it nonetheless, going even so far to sketch the earliest form of the language by investigating Roman inscriptions in the area (see this, this and this).
I hope to get to know some of you who are still around!
