Yes, it is close to "sh" from an alien language, but then with the SH being retroflex-ish the two sounds stay distinct, at least to me. Bbut it gives a sort of lisp-y sound to "correctly" pronounced Carrajina. I really shoud get the equipment necessary to make some good quality sound recordings for C-a and put them up on my site.
