There is something about the interjection 'eja'. A friend of mine wrote quite much about that it is very important to say it in latin with two 'y', the english ones, I mean. Maybe it would then lead to 'edja', if you have that sound between vowels. At least she thinks that 'e-ya' doesn't flow right. I don't know all of the sound changes you made. I just thought it could be helpful if I mention that.
