Well, I'm not sure that Donatist-dominant would be entirely accurate for the Carraxan lands. Last I knew (1200s), the breakdown was something like 35% Donatist, 25% Catholic, 20% Muslim, 10% Greek, 5% Copt, 5% Jewish. The Donatists are the largest group, but still not a majority of the population. I believe that by the 1500's that may be something more like 45% Donatist, 25% Catholic, 10% Greek, 10% Jewish, 10% Muslim, 5% Copt -- with the Donatist increase coming from conversions mainly from the Catholics and Muslims, the Jewish increase mainly from immigration from European states, and the Muslim decrease due partly to emmigration and partly to conversions. There is also a tiny Domani population in the mix, some of whom practice one of the above faiths and some of whom follow a traditional paganism, which is equally true for the Tuareg nomads. However, the ruling dynasty has been Donatist since the end of Queen Sabija's regency.
