Because _si_ is the third person subjunctive present of 'to be',
regularly derived from _sît_. The forms _súcevecát_ and _vác_
are "irregular" past participles with _si_ as an auxiliary forming
the passive, while _advenja_ is an active subjunctive in its own
right.

_-ibus_ and _*-ubus_. There is a rule which weakens /b/ to /v/
between jers.

It should be that nominative is in _-a_ but accusative in _-ate_.
I screwed it up.

Actually from a postfixed pronoun _ty_, but I'm undecided
about it.
