Although the primary focus of this group is constructed languages, in particular those made for artistic reasons or just for pleasure, the discussion of Romance linguistics in general (including historical and theoretical linguistics) is welcome too. Discussion is also encouraged of "the Craft": conlang methods, software, websites, inspiration, history, etc. International Auxiliary Languages (Euroclones, Esperantoids) may be discussed in linguistic terms, but it should be clear that this is not the place for promoting them.
Romconlang is the successor of Romanceconlang. The reason we moved here, is that its owner had lost the possibility to manage the group, which made it an easy target for spammers. The archives of Romanceconlang can still be accessed at the group page, and are also available here[http://zsau.firespeaker.org/Linguistics/romanceconlang]. This list is unmoderated, but flaming, spam and other abuses will not be tolerated. Please treat all other members with respect. It should perhaps be pointed out explicitly that this group deals with Romance languages, and not with the kind of romance that usually culminates in a mass-purchase of diapers.
