Fortunately, there is a nice utility called yahoo2mbox, written in Perl, that does the trick. I've just grabbed the whole archive (messages 1 through 1301). Mbox format is standard in Unix systems, and is also used by Mozilla Mail and Eudora: many other packages can import it using their facilities for importing Eudora. The zipped archive is only 732K. Any volunteers for hosting it? We could now move to another mailing list that doesn't begin with "romance" and that has a real owner. -- Henry S.
