Hey, some of you have asked what Carrajena sounds like. I don't have the required equipment to give you a REAL sample of C-a, but I just found a REALLY cool approximation! My geocities website has been pestering me with adds for "talking characters" that can be added to a geocities site. I finally decided to follow the link to see what it was all about and ended up at http://sitepal.com/vhost_minisite/index_banner.html This site offers a very expensive little service, but the test module lets you type in a text for the "characters" to read. So I decided to type in a simple C-a text, "Fista la limba Carrajena esti." This is the Carthaginian language. I tried it and the "American" voice really butchered it. I tried all the various voices and finally found one that very closely approximates the way C-a should sound. The rr is a bit weak and there are a few other shortcomings, but if you type in that text and choose Pierre to read it as French you get pretty close. Alberto reading it as Spanish is not too bad either. He gets the rr just about right but his j is WAY to soft. Give it a try!! Adam
