Rick,
I note that the color morphemes and the numeric morphemes in Nensendi are identical in most cases. Why not make them identical in all cases? Thus make _one_=blue (ca- vs. xa-). And add a separate morpheme for "brown" (which is not really orange+black; rather it's yellow+black, but I doubt anyone ever thinks of it like that in ordinary usage), so that brown=seven (jobu- vs. ze-) and shift "pale" (ze- = seven) and "deep" (ci-) to eight (ti-) and nine (xo-). Here is what I mean:
bu- zero black
ca- one blue (or 'xa-'; either one would work)
fe- two green
gi- three yellow
jo- four orange
lu- five red
ba- six white
ze- seven brown
ti- eight pale
xo- nine deep
This change would increase the consistency of the language.
