(Sorry for my bad english!... this comment should hold for future messages to this list :) ) Hello!! I use to look at the messages of this list, but not very often; and I don't know how to speak Katanda, though it seems to me very good. I write to make a simple comment. Nensendi has a flaw that katanda has not --- its name. It is a matter of taste, but I think that "Katanda" is a very much "well-sounded" name than "Nensendi"... It's a simple comment, not a critic.. Since I am student of Mathematics and Computer Science (University of Minho, Portugal) and a enthousiastic of linguistics, I would like to know some details on your implementation of the translation software. Which programming language did you use? Prolog? Perl? Haskell? (Haskell is my favourite prog. language!!) What kind of mechanism did you use in the automatic translation? Why don't you make available a translation service that, given a Katanda/Nensendi sentence, it outputs the english translation? I think it would be great, and you don't have to give the executable nor the source-code... When I have (much) time, I would like to try to write a program to translate Nensendi (or Katanda..) to Portuguese... Thanks, Pedro. -- 10Mb na sua caixa de email gratuita no mail.pt http://www.mail.pt
