another possible way to handle the wrong linkages between oblique arguments and verbs is to use "doku" before the argument, thus closing the argument structure at that level and allowing a link to the previous level. i much prefer using "doku" to using "meku/gaku", because "meku/gake" requires so much forethought. "meku/gaku" must be used with "ne" rather than "doku", because "doku" doesn't have the right effect.
