hello, here's what i thought while studying lesson 15: lesson15: The zoology books are beside the dictionary under the desk. Tudinda lekotoy te caynto takotoy bucidi kozwe. sts: why not "gecaynto"? isn't zoology generic? lesson15: Remind me to get the ice while you're drunk. Pesimboy mi jatenja bumeze gasande tagonta tumi. sts: how do we know that "jatenja" implies the object "mi" and not "tumi"? lesson15: The zoology books are beside the dictionary under the desk. Tudinda lekotoy te caynto takotoy bucidi kozwe.sts: as far as i remember "bucidi" is an open adverb. but i understand "under" like an open adjective for "dictionary":
Tudinda lekotoy te caynto takotoy bucidindu kozwe. is that ok? lesson15: The ruler and the scissors are on the table in the tool room. Vodinda monyo ne tunyo vozwe di to te genyo. sts: the same applies here. i'd say "dindu". lesson15: All of the ducks were eaten by three healthy cats. Pi pafuskinza naji vimu pava casne caygo nimu. sts: is there a difference to... Pi pafuskinza vimundaw lenaji pava casne caygo nimu. ? lesson15: I saw something like a tiger moving away from that low fence. Pi vezdi mi vatsi bate kosne va pedinju mokxe bucinsa niju.sts: what if there were "pedingu" instead of "pedinju"? would the translation change?
lesson15: I thought about the Katanda words after the teacher explained the words to me. Pi si mi letadya te Katanda goynde koda kobyo mi letadya. [Note that we must repeat the word "letadya". If we had instead used the anaphor "tahi", it would have referred to "Katanda": Pi si mi letadya te Katanda goynde koda kobyo mi tahi = I thought about the Katanda words after the teacher explained it (meaning 'the Katanda language') to me. Thus, we had to repeat the word "letadya" to get the desired interpretation.]sts: so how do we say "I thought about the Katanda words after the teacher explained them to me." ??
