I've decided to tape only the first three lessons so that people can get
a feel for how the language is pronounced.  I'm not really sure if
there's a need to record the remaining lessons.  And even if I do, it
won't be in the foreseeable future because it's a pain in the neck and I
still occasionally make changes.

That's correct.  "Vodimba" literally means 'to put/move P onto F'.
There is no Katanda word that directly corresponds to English "put".

Perhaps someone would like to try this one:

    I moved the table.
