Re: [engelang] proposing move to conlang.org

Given that we are on the engelang list, and hence perhaps tend to be literalists (and probably located at some slightly para-normal section of the autistic spectrum...), I had better not rashly take your response to be wholly ironic, Adam...

The idea would be that the archives get left where they are (unless some LCS bod has the skills and energy to suck them up onto an LCS site), and I would take charge of moving the subscribers to the new list (sans all the sexygirl69@hidden.email, most of which I think I've already deleted). The new list would be a standard mailing list, not one of those godawful forums one has to browse (and which we are far too old for). Very possibly the new list will remain deathly quiet, but otoh the LCS seems to serve as a focus and galvanizer of activity, so perhaps some undormant engelangers will appear.

Yes, I object. This is history! This is nostalgia! You want to just throw that out the window!?! I'm not going to bother to go to conlang.org <http://conlang.org> and browse a forum or subscribe to another list or however it works, so how in the world would I get my piece of spam once every couple of months or however often spam appears on this list if you move it? You've got to be kidding!
