hello
i'm new here.
I am very aware of the last 2 messages, so my joining is a bit tentative.
I have been busy with interlingua over the last 1.5 years roughly.
In the last month i've looked at Ido.
But really i'm looking for a more radical departure from my own
natural language.
I've looked at neo-patwa (even sent a few messages in the
google-group, in neopatwa), sasxsek, lojban and ceqli.
The reason i'm going for ceqli is that the group has the most members
and is therefore most "alive" - at least in theory (and see the
previous 2 messages...)
I know lojban is the most active and probably has more people
interested in it, but it seemed too difficult for me to try on in
first instance.
(if, however, i succeed in learning/using a language like these, that
is, quite far removed from my own language - after all interlingua/Ido
are pretty easy but then you might as well speak english...- then I
might try on lojban, who knows.

My chilhood language was Hungarian which I still speak fluently, but
with an accent and restricted vocabulary. I am Dutch (from the
Netherlands/Holland) but have lived in England for 18 years and now
almost exclusively use english, though in a sense, of course, my 1st
language is Dutch...

I have not yet started "learning" ceqli. I am kind of waiting to see
what will happen after this message...

so, best wishes and hope to hear from you all soon
andrew

N.B. oh, BTW, i have no ulterior motive for doing this except for the
fun of it.
