I was just thinking that one sense of 'secure' could be rendered by 'talaslan' (lock-safe).  
As for 'insecure' in the psychological sense, I'm thinking it really is maybe a quite different 
concept.  Wiktionary isn't much help here.  Does insecure pretty much mean 'vulnerable'?
If so, maybe 'harmbefey' is what we want.
