I'm thinking of making topic marking in Ceqli, this way:

To xlaq, da pa tsanku to kanin.   As for the snake, it bit the dog.
To kanin, to xlaq pa tsanku da.  As for the dog, the snake bit him.

But then how can I make "bite" the topic?
Maybe I could just have a particle, as in Japanese, that marks the topic. Let's say ''tei" 

tei to xlaq pa tsanku to kanin.

or maybe it should follow:

to xlaq tei pa tsanku to kanin.
to xlaq pa tsanku to kanin tei.
to xlaq pa tsanku tei to kanin.
And as such, it would be the same thing as emphasizing the word, italicizing it or underlining it. 

Thoughts?
