> "gunpe" is better because it conveys the idea better: a sentient > being -- not necessarily a human being -- that's associated with > guns. "jin" is more like a species name, almost. > ---K Good! So here's what we've got: jin - human being jino - male human being jini - female human being jo - male sentient being xi - female sentient being pe - sentient being. Worf, Frodo, you, me, Data, Bugs Bunny, etc. daren - adult dareno - male adult dareni - female adult darenoid - Michael Jackson (just kidding) Going thru the glossary, "pe" substitutes well for "jin", tho somehow I'm reluctant to use it for members of religions, I can't say why. Of course, it's perfectly all right to say "gunjin," just maybe overspecific unless it's in ax X-Files episode. Now, having said all that, we have to specify that "pe" is -not- equivalent to English "-er" in all contexts. "pe" is always a sentient being. "flaype" is a flyer like Lindbergh, and can mean a pilot. For Barsoomian 'flyers' we have "flayxin" "flayvi," or even "flayba" or "flaydiq."
