How about it and others become 'zan'? Yes!! /ts/ mutates toward /s/ too easily anyway. But I'm not against fricative-stop or sybilant-stop combinations; I'm only suggesting that all of the "Ce" words begin with a stop. (Thereby implying that there aren't any "CCe" words.) However, the same result could be achieved by disallowing any "CC" combination, as you have done with the ts-words described above. --K
