Or for variety, should we vary the VV Well, I wouldn't be too put out if it ended up with varied vowels, because it does make sense for distinction - but I generally have no problem with Lojban's system: consonants get 'y' added (in this way, acronyms are easy to say); vowels get 'bu' added, which converts an arbitrary word (in this case, the connectives) to a letter. The word 'bu' is useful for describing other symbols (like the period, 'denpa bu' for "pause"). Of course, it would need to be a different word, say 'gu'. And varying the vowels would leave less room for series of related words. The weaks could get 'y' also with no problem. -- Rob Speer
