I have decided that I don't like zem. I took it from French deuxiem, etc. for the ordinal numbers, and I find it awkward in compounds. In my own name, taken from the month's name, we have 'fayzemxar,' which I find harder to pronounce than necessary. Therefore I propose mandarin 'di' for ordinals. However, unlike Mandarin, I think it should be suffixed, again with the head-last theory, because 'second' is a kind of order or rank, not a kind of 'two.'. So: Handixar, Dudixar, Tridixar, January, February, march, etc. Days of the week: Handidey, Dudidey, etc. Question: How to distinguish between Handidey meaning Monday, and 'the first day of February'? Probably with sa. Dudixarsa handisa dey. -- >PLEASE NOTE MY NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS: rmay@hidden.email > Rex F.
