Saweli grammar is irrelevant here on the Latejami list, but I agree that the quote seems best.

I would say

dasu tedapa bavi tejopaw lajonbegi xijopi

i.e. using quotes, that's what I've assumed, so the whole "tejopaw
lajonbegi xijopi" refers to "lajonbegi" and not the person.
