They are .wav files compressed with the gzip program.  You can use the
gunzip program to uncompress them.  Gunzip should be available for all
operating systems.  Also, if you're on Windows, Winzip should also be
able to uncompress the files.




I imagine Winzip would do very well, if I had it.  I don't.  I costs money, which I also don't have.

Gunzip/gzip is more promising.  I just tried it once unsuccessfully, but I'm not done with it yet.
