Translation offering

Hi everyone,

As promised, here is the passage from the Constitution of the New South Wales Branch of the Liberal Party of Australia:

3.2.4(1)(c): "[A] Branch Member of an Ordinary Branch or a Young Liberal Branch does not have any Branch Membership Rights with respect to his or her membership of that Branch if the Branch is not allocated to the SEC in the State electorate where the person's Principal Place of Residence is located or to an adjoining State electorate unless the person's Principal Place of Residence was previously in such a State electorate and not more than three months has expired since the person's Principal Place of Residence ceased to be in that State electorate[.]"

And its translation:

Jikoy sya jutay sanzu Byefwa Vokamo to sa Voka Bijacu to jawtwe Voka Zwesemo Dwatoyme to Zapoyno Byefwambinomo Vokame to tu byefawmbino byeho sa jawhi jitwe jutay sambanse jawhi jikoy Lagwakay twamu bawtye Gwatyemo twangamu Vacamya Badaku byeho byokoy jawtwe Lagwakay twamu bawtye Gwatyemo zwatwanawmo to byokoy jujitwe ci twama Vahi jawhi twe sya jutay pyoma gesoa giku gekoy to ju twaha.
I just love how much more concise the Ladekwa passages are, because of the specificity of the anaphora.
Cheers,
Geoff
